The Świecie nad Osą Commune, located in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, in the Grudziądz County, has existed since 1934 and was part of the Toruń Voivodeship from 1975 to 1998. The commune covers an area of 94.67 km², of which 83% is agricultural land and 8% is forest, making it a significant agricultural region. It is home to approximately 4,346 people, giving it a diverse demographic profile. The commune boasts numerous historical monuments that reflect its rich heritage, such as the manor house from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries in Karolewo, the 16th-century parish church of St. Michael the Archangel in Linów, and the palace complex in Lisnowo, which includes a palace, a 19th-century park, and other buildings. In Mędrzyce, visitors can admire a manor complex with a beautiful park, a distillery, and a 19th-century granary. Another interesting site is the late 19th-century manor complex in Widlice, which has been preserved to this day.
