wikipedia
The Śnieżnicki Landscape Park, established in 1981, covers an area of 28,800 hectares in the Eastern Sudetes, within the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. The park encompasses the Śnieżnik mountain range and the Golden Mountains, distinguished by outstanding natural values, including preserved fragments of the ancient Sudeten Forest. The terrain is varied, featuring high-mountain basins and steeply rising slopes. The park boasts rich vegetation, dominated by spruce forests with numerous protected species such as the military orchid and the Sudeten yellow violet. The Śnieżnicki Park is also home to many rare fauna species, including bats, large mammals like red deer and roe deer, and various birds such as the western capercaillie and the Eurasian eagle-owl. Within the park, there is a mountain tourist shelter called "Na Śnieżniku," and the area is crisscrossed by hiking trails marked in red, blue, black, green, and yellow. An interesting fact is that before World War II, there was a biological research station in Międzygórze, highlighting the uniqueness of this location. The park is a place of high scenic and landscape value, captivating both tourists and nature enthusiasts alike.
