wikipedia
Huta Huczwice is a student mountain hut located near the no longer existing village of Huczwice, close to Baligród, in the picturesque range of Wysoki Dział in the Western Bieszczady Mountains. Managed by the Academic Tourist Club of the PWSZ in Sanok, it operates during the summer months, from July to August, offering 20 sleeping spaces and a tent camping area. Although the hut is not directly connected to any marked hiking trail, it is situated near trails leading to the Żebrak Pass and the Main Beskid Trail. It is an ideal place for tourists seeking contact with nature, tranquility, and the charms of the Bieszczady region. An additional attraction is its proximity to Wola Michowa, from where routes lead to Sukowate and Kalnica, making it a convenient starting point for exploring the region's attractions. Although Huczwice no longer exists as a village today, it has its own history, and its former inhabitants have left traces that may interest enthusiasts of local culture and traditions. Interestingly, the Bieszczady Mountains, especially their western part, attract many tourists due to their rich nature and opportunities for mountain hiking amidst unique landscapes. Despite the lack of formal trails, the Huczwice hut has been and remains a meeting place for mountain tourism enthusiasts and local traditions, making it an extremely attractive area for exploration.
