Jaśliska is a rural municipality in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, within the Krosno County, with its administrative seat located in the village of the same name. The municipality has a rich history, dating back to the periods of 1934–1954 and 1973–1976, when it operated within various voivodeships, including Lwów and Rzeszów. Jaśliska was once a town, but after 1934 it began functioning as a rural collective municipality, encompassing several villages such as Czeremcha, Daliowa, and Darów. After World War II, as a result of administrative changes, the municipality became part of the Sanok County and later the Krosno County. The municipality was abolished in 1976, and its territory was divided between the municipalities of Dukla and Komańcza. However, in early 2010, the municipality of Jaśliska was reinstated, primarily due to strong local community ties and the logistical challenges of commuting to Dukla. Architecturally, the municipality is characterized by typical rural buildings of the Podkarpacie region, featuring both wooden and brick structures common to the area. Culturally, Jaśliska and its surroundings are known for local traditions, rituals, and artistic endeavors that reflect the region's rich cultural heritage. An interesting fact is the reinstatement of the municipality after years of efforts by local residents, highlighting the importance of community initiatives in shaping administrative structures. The municipality includes several village districts (sołectwa), such as Daliowa, Jaśliska, and Wola Niżna, as well as non-administered villages like Darów and Lipowiec. Neighboring municipalities include Dukla, Komańcza, and Rymanów, offering opportunities for local cooperation and tourism development.
