Krosno County, located in the Lubusz Voivodeship, boasts a rich history dating back to 1945, when the county was established as part of the administrative reorganization after World War II. Its seat is the town of Krosno Odrzańskie, which, alongside Gubin, serves as an important local center. The county holds a strategic border position, neighboring Germany and various Polish counties, contributing to its unique cultural and historical character. The landscape is diverse, featuring the Gubin Hills and rivers such as the Oder and the Lusatian Neisse, which create picturesque areas conducive to both recreation and nature conservation.
