Miechów County

The Miechów County, established in 1999, is located in the northern part of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, with its seat in the town of Miechów. The county includes the urban-rural municipalities of Miechów and Książ Wielki, as well as the rural municipalities of Charsznica, Gołcza, Kozłów, Racławice, and Słaboszów. Bukowska Góra, the highest peak in the county, reaches an elevation of 442 meters above sea level. Miechów is known for its rich history, dating back to medieval times when the town played an important role in the region as a commercial and religious center. Architecturally, both temples and historic buildings stand out here, including the Gothic Church of St. Barbara and the Franciscan monastery complex.
