The Parish of the Holy Apostles Andrew and Bartholomew in Osieck, one of the oldest parishes in Masovia, boasts a rich history dating back to the late 12th century. The first confirmed wooden church was established in the second half of the 13th century, founded by the Masovian Duke Konrad I, and was subsequently replaced and rebuilt several times, including a brick church constructed between 1778 and 1782 by Father Andrzej Reptowski. Due to the growing number of faithful, a new church was built between 1902 and 1904, designed by Stefan Szyller and consecrated in 1909. The church, oriented in the shape of a Latin cross, represents the Vistula Gothic style and features a three-nave interior and distinctive towers covered with copper sheet. Within its richly decorated interior, notable elements include an 18th-century black marble holy water font and Neo-Gothic decorations, some of which originate from earlier churches. There are also numerous side altars, including one dedicated to the Pratulin Uniates. The parish feast, held near the feast of St. Bartholomew, has long been highly popular, attracting faithful from nearby towns. Although its significance has diminished over time, it remains one of the most important events in local culture. Next to the church stands a historic rectory from 1897, notable for its interesting architecture. The parish cemetery, established in the 18th century, features a Baroque chapel of St. Roch and graves of priests, as well as collective graves of soldiers. The parish supports religious activities, including Rosary groups and a choir, and engages in local initiatives, enriching the lives of residents.
