Rabe Student Tent Base

The Student Tent Base Rabe is a site located in the western Bieszczady Mountains, on the northern slopes of the Wysoki Dział range. It was established in 1976 and takes its name from the nearby village of Rabe. Since 1982, the base has been managed by the Student Travel Club "Czwórka," which operates under the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW). The base is popular among students and outdoor enthusiasts, fitting into the broader cultural context of recreation in the Bieszczady—a region renowned for its wild nature and stunning landscapes. Architecturally, the site offers simple yet functional infrastructure tailored to the needs of tourists and campers, with a focus on closeness to nature. Access to the base is provided by a yellow "base trail" that branches off from the Main Beskid Trail, making it easily reachable for hikers. An interesting fact is that Rabe has become a venue for various cultural and recreational events that promote active leisure and a love for the mountains.
