The municipality of Sobótka, located in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship within the Wrocław County, is an urban-rural commune covering an area of 135.35 km². It is home to 12,889 residents (data as of June 30, 2020). The municipality is characterized by a high urbanization rate of 55.06%. Sobótka boasts numerous natural attractions, including two nature reserves: Mount Ślęża, which protects unique gabbro slopes and scree fields, and the Sulistrowicka Meadow, known for its rare species of meadow vegetation. Sobótka has a rich history and was part of the Wrocław Voivodeship from 1975 to 1998. The commune's architecture is also noteworthy, featuring monuments linked to the region's storied past. An interesting fact is the airfield in Mirosławice, which serves as an important hub for local transportation infrastructure. The municipality borders Jordanów Śląski, Kąty Wrocławskie, Kobierzyce, Łagiewniki, Marcinowice, and Mietków, fostering tourism development and interactions with neighboring communes.
