wikipedia
The Solska Primeval Forest Landscape Park is located in the Middle Roztocze and the Biłgoraj Plain, covering an area of 28,895 hectares, a significant part of which lies in the Lublin Voivodeship. Established in 1988, it aims to protect unique natural and cultural values, including primeval forest complexes and river valleys. The park features rich forest ecosystems, predominantly pine forests, as well as river valleys such as the Jeleń and Tanew, with regional "szumy" – small waterfalls typical of the area. Numerous plant and animal species are protected here, including many rare and endangered ones. Additionally, the park contains nine natural monuments and two inanimate monuments. The history and culture of the region are represented by numerous heritage sites, such as churches, the synagogue in Józefów, and the remains of the "Kościółek" fortress. The park offers tourists the opportunity to explore hiking trails and nature-educational paths, as well as to use accommodation facilities in nearby resort towns. An interesting feature is the landscape reserves, which protect typical fragments of the Roztocze landscape and the park's unique floral and faunal richness.
