Domaradz is a rural commune located in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, within the Brzozów County. The administrative seat of the commune is the village of Domaradz. This commune stands out for its high rate of long-term residency among its inhabitants – as many as 90.9% of them have lived here since birth, making it one of the most settled communes in Poland. According to data from June 30, 2016, the commune was inhabited by 6,066 people. The commune covers an area of 56.72 km², of which 71% is agricultural land and 20% is forest land, which is reflected in its landscape. The Domaradz commune has a rich history, dating back at least to the 1930s. Until 1939, the mayor of the commune was Dr. Kazimierz Batycki. In the same year, the commune honored several prominent figures with honorary citizenship, including Ignacy Mościcki and Edward Śmigły-Rydz. An interesting fact is that the commune had its own mayor until the outbreak of World War II, highlighting its significance during that era. The commune comprises three village administrative units (sołectwa): Domaradz, Barycz, and Golcowa. It borders other communes such as Błażowa, Brzozów, Jasienica Rosielna, Niebylec, and Nozdrzec, making it part of a broader local community. In demographic terms, a study conducted in 2004 helped determine the age pyramid of the commune's inhabitants. Domaradz is a place with a rich cultural heritage, evident in its local traditions and customs. The commune is developing both economically and culturally, and its residents maintain strong ties to the land, which is reflected in the local architecture dominated by traditional rural buildings.
