The Jędrzejów Plateau, located in the southwestern part of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, is a highland area that forms part of the Nida Basin. It is bordered by the Pilica River valley to the west, the Biała Nida River to the north, the Mierzawa River to the south, and the Nida River to the east. Geologically, it is primarily composed of Cretaceous marls, with Quaternary sands and clays also present on its surface. The terrain is characterized by gentle hills, mostly aligned in a latitudinal direction, reaching heights between 260 and 326 meters above sea level. Fertile soils known as *rędziny* have developed in this area, supporting agricultural development. In the central part of the plateau lies Jędrzejów, a town rich in history, renowned for its religious architecture, particularly the Church of St. Bartholomew and the Cistercian Monastery. Jędrzejów also features numerous historical monuments related to the region's past, including remnants of ancient architecture that testify to its rich heritage. The Jędrzejów Plateau is predominantly agricultural, underscoring its importance to the local economy. Interestingly, the region is also known for its numerous tourist trails, attracting nature and history enthusiasts alike.
