wikipedia
The Warta River Mouth Landscape Park was established on December 18, 1996, and encompasses the area of the lower Warta River valley and smaller sections of the lower Oder River valley. The park, spanning the Lubusz and West Pomeranian voivodeships, covers an area of 19,496.38 hectares, of which 17,697.89 hectares lie within the Lubusz Voivodeship. This region is characterized by rich plant communities, particularly marsh vegetation and wet meadows, including sedge marshes. The park also features valuable oak stands on floodplain habitats, despite forests occupying only a small portion of the area. It serves as a habitat and breeding ground for many rare and endangered animal species, such as the European beaver, common merganser, common goldeneye, and white-tailed eagle, and provides a home for numerous waterfowl and birds of prey. Within the park, there are three nature reserves: Lemierzyce, Dolina Postomii, and Pamięcin, which protect diverse forest and steppe ecosystems. The Warta River Mouth Landscape Park is not only an important area for nature conservation but also an attractive tourist destination, offering opportunities to connect with nature and observe wildlife in its natural environment. Its natural characteristics make it a valuable site for research on river valley ecosystems and their protection.
