Parish of Our Lady of Lourdes in Krakow

The Church of Our Lady of Lourdes in Kraków was built by the Congregation of the Mission (Vincentian Fathers), with its cornerstone laid on June 25, 1892. The temple was consecrated on July 16, 1894, by Auxiliary Bishop Jakub Glazer. It was dedicated to the Immaculate Virgin of Lourdes and remains an important feature of the architectural landscape of Nowa Wieś. The church is characterized by its neo-Gothic architectural details, which reflect the spirit of the era in which it was constructed. In 1923, the parish gained autonomy, and its administration was entrusted to the Vincentian Fathers. The parish hosts many communities, including the Mixed Marian Choir and the academic ministry "Na Miasteczku," highlighting the church's role as a cultural and social center for the local community. The parish is also involved in charitable activities through the St. Vincent de Paul Society and various formation groups, such as the Girls' Marian Crusade and the Family Oasis – Domestic Church Movement.
