Rzeszów County

Rzeszów County, established in 1999 as part of the administrative reform, is located in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. Its capital is Rzeszów, which is a city with county rights and is not part of the county itself. The county belongs to the Rzeszów metropolitan area, which fosters its dynamic development. The Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport is located within its territory, significantly improving transportation and attracting investors. In 2019, the county had a population of 169,438, which increased to 169,986 by 2020. The county comprises urban, urban-rural, and rural municipalities, as well as several towns, including Dynów, Głogów Małopolski, and Tyczyn. The highest elevations in the county are Wilcze (506 meters above sea level), Kruszelnica (500 meters above sea level), and Czabajka (416 meters above sea level), giving the region a picturesque character and promoting tourism.
