wikipedia
Sulęcin County, established in 1999 as part of Poland's administrative reform, is located in the Lubusz Voivodeship, with the town of Sulęcin serving as its seat. Geographically, the county lies within the Gorzów Basin, the Łagów Lakeland, and the Torzym Plain, resulting in a diverse and picturesque landscape. The area is undoubtedly attractive due to the presence of the "Warta Mouth" National Park and the Warta Mouth Landscape Park, both located in the Słońsk municipality. The county consists of three urban-rural municipalities: Lubniewice, Sulęcin, and Torzym, as well as two rural municipalities: Krzeszyce and Słońsk. It is worth noting that Sulęcin County has the smallest population in the Lubusz Voivodeship; according to data from June 2022, its population was 33,876 residents. The county is known for its well-developed transportation network, including a railway line connecting Berlin and Poznań, as well as major national roads such as DK2 and DK22, which provide easy access to neighboring counties: Gorzów, Międzyrzecz, Świebodzin, Krosno Odrzańskie, and Słubice. Historically, the region has much to offer, with architectural landmarks reflecting its rich past, though details about them could be further elaborated. Interestingly, despite its small size, the county is abundant in greenery, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
