Rawicki County, established in 1999 as part of the administrative reform, is located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, with its seat in the town of Rawicz. It is the smallest county in the region, covering an area of 553.52 km². It consists of the urban-rural municipalities: Bojanowo, Jutrosin, Miejska Górka, and Rawicz, as well as the rural municipality of Pakosław. The region is characterized by a rich history dating back to medieval times, which is reflected in the architecture of its towns, where historic buildings such as churches and town halls dominate, testifying to the local culture and tradition. Rawicz, known for its beautiful park complex and palace, is part of the regional heritage. In 2015, the county recorded the lowest rate of social assistance recipients in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, which may indicate a relatively good economic situation in the region. Demographically, the county is inhabited by 59,134 people, with a population density of 107 people/km², placing it in the medium range for small counties. At the end of September 2019, the unemployment rate was 3.9%, confirming the stability of the labor market. The county borders five other counties, which fosters cultural and economic exchange.
