The Górowo Iławeckie Deanery, part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Warmia, comprises 12 parishes, including St. Anne's Parish in Babiak and the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Górowo Iławeckie. However, the history of the deanery dates back to before September 15, 2022, when the number of parishes was only 9. It is worth noting the development of the deanery and the changes that have occurred in its structure. Architecturally, the parishes in the region are often characterized by local Gothic and Baroque styles, with typical wooden churches of Warmia that are a significant element of the landscape. Culturally, the deanery can boast a rich religious tradition and local festivals that bring residents together around customs and rituals associated with the Catholic liturgical calendar. Contemporary spiritual life in the deanery is enriched by various initiatives, such as retreats, pilgrimages, and events dedicated to youth. An interesting fact is that, alongside neighboring deaneries like Bartoszyce or Lidzbark Warmiński, Górowo Iławeckie is an important part of the local community, preserving Catholic traditions while also responding to the challenges of modernity. The deanery also serves as a meeting place for the faithful, fostering community integration and strengthening social bonds.
