Kraków Valleys Landscape Park

The "Dolinki Krakowskie" Landscape Park covers an area of 20,686.1 hectares in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, with a buffer zone of 13,017.0 hectares. This area encompasses the gorge-like valleys of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, including the Olkusz Upland, which stretches all the way to the Krzeszowice Graben. It is part of the Complex of Landscape Parks of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, and its landscape is dotted with streams and karst landforms. Tourism in this region combines nature and history, with numerous ruins of 14th-century castles and fortresses. Among the most notable valleys are the Będkowska Valley, known for the high Sokolica rock formation, and the Kluczwody Valley, where the remains of a knight's castle can be found. The park offers a variety of hiking and cycling trails that allow visitors to explore unique rock formations and climbing spots. In addition to outdoor activities, the park boasts rich natural resources, including nature reserves such as the Kluczwody Valley and the Racławki Valley. New reserves are also planned, reflecting a commitment to preserving this valuable ecosystem.
